A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an effective tool to understand and improve environmental performance of products. By carrying out an LCA, we identify hotspots in the life cycle of your products’ life and afterlife.
We can support you in conducting LCA’s according to general ISO standards (ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards), specific LCA standards (such as EN15804 for building materials) or the Environmental Footprint (EF) method from the European Commission, a uniform approach for assessing and disclosing environmental performance of products and organisations.
Irrespective of the selected standards:
we assess the environmental performance of your product(s) according to standardized methodologies,
we map possible negative impacts (hotspots) of your products over their lifecycle,
we use this information to guide you in practical implementation reducing your environmental impacts,
we use the LCA to communicate your environmental performance by means of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD). The EPD is a third-party verified document that communicates complete and standardised information about the environmental impact of products during their full lifecycle based upon Life Cycle Assessment.
Overall, a Life Cycle Assessment will enable you to further optimise the environmental impact of your products and organisation.
