Cradle to Cradle Certified® Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) Material Health Circularity Roadmap

The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Product Standard (C2C) is the leading product certification standard for powering a circular economy. It focuses on safe and circular products. We help you achieve C2C certification, giving you:

a deep understanding of your value chain, from an environmental, societal and health perspective,
a science-based approach focusing on safe, circular, and responsibly made products and
an increased understanding of what sustainability and circularity mean for your products, organisation and value chain.

We help you implement specific optimisation strategies and provide you with the necessary tools for effective follow-up. The Cradle to Cradle Certified® Product Standard (C2C) is the quality label that your stakeholders and end users will recognise and trust for safe and circular products.

A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an effective tool for understanding and improving the environmental performance of products. By conducting an LCA, we identify hotspots in the life cycle of your products and guide practical implementation to reduce impacts. We support you in conducting LCAs according to the following standardised methodologies:

general ISO standards (ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards),
specific LCA standards (such as EN15804 for building materials) or
the European Commission’s Environmental Footprint (EF) method, a uniform approach for assessing and disclosing the environmental performance of products and organisations.

LCAs are also used to communicate environmental performance by means of an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
